The Year 5 staff members are Mr Valder and Mrs Pavitt!

Welcome to Ash Class, Year 5! We hope you had a wonderful summer break. We are really excited to get going in upper key stage 2 There's so much to learn and enjoy as we enter the home straight of primary education - scary, we know!

Below follows some important information about our daily Ash Class operations, but if there's anything you're not sure about, please ask at the office, or find Mr Valder at the end of the day.

Important Information

Please ensure the children bring water bottles and reading books to school every day. Children only require one snack a day which will be had during break time in the morning. We encourage fresh fruit or a similar option.

Home learning will be set weekly. We will also set spelling assignments on Spelling Shed, with regular contests on Times Table Rock Stars. See the link below. If you require a login reminder, let Mr Valder know.

Mr Valder's planning time will be Wednesday afternoons. Ms Jones will lead the class.

PE

Our PE lessons are on Thursdays and Fridays. Children will need to come to school dressed in their full PE kit:

• White t-shirt with blue school logo
• Navy shorts
• Black or Navy Jogging Pants (for cold weather)
• Appropriate trainers
• School jumper or fleece (for cold weather)

Earrings must be either taken out, or the children should have access to earring tape.
